Regular dental hygiene is the key to a lifetime of good dental health. You should brush your teeth twice a day and floss every day to help prevent cavities and gum disease. We also recommend that you see us for your regular maintenance and cleaning every three to six months depending on your tissue and tooth health.
At your regular appointment, we’ll clean your teeth to remove plaque and tartar, examine your teeth and gums, measure and probe to screen for periodontal disease, and perform an oral cancer evaluation. We may also take x-rays or provide you with a fluoride treatment if needed.
Oral Cancer
Oral cancer is a potentially lethal form of cancer that forms in the mouth and throat. An oral cancer screening lets us detect signs of cancer early to give the best chance of a successful treatment.
